What is meditation?

So, meditation is the regular process of training your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts. 

Meditation is a way to bring focus to our breath.

When we meditate it’s a way for us to get away from our everyday lives without going anywhere.

Time for us. Whether it’s 5 minutes or an hour. It’s a time for us to focus on ourselves.

As we meditate it’s an opportunity for us to focus within. To focus internally and check in with ourselves.

An opportunity for some time and some space for you.

Meditation is something we can all do. It may take time and practice but we can build up slowly. There is no set rule about how long we should meditate for.

There are so many benefits to meditation whether you are a beginner or someone who has a regular practice. Some of the benefits include:

**Increased focus

**Reduces anxiety

**Lengthens attention span

**Can help improve sleep

**It’s accessible for all

Crystals are also great to help us focus.


You don’t need any special equipment to start your meditation practice.  Some people prefer to sit on the floor, some prefer to sit on the sofa/on a chair. Some like to lie down. I always suggest doing what works best for you. If you are comfortable in your practice you are more likely to continue with it. And you may wish to have a blanket close by so you don’t become cold.

Taking some time out for you is so important so you can enjoy some time and some space for YOU.


So, I run a term time Meditation on a Monday – it’s 35 or so minutes each Monday I go live in a private Facebook group with a meditation session. Once the session is there it’s available for the duration of the block so you can revist at any point. So if you can’t make 8pm on Monday you can catch up at a time that works for you.
